Seriously? Enough already!

The last time my car was at the dealer for service in August (Team Hyundai in Pasadena - DON'T GO THERE!!!), all kinds of stuff went wrong.

You've been hearing the story of how they broke my transmission, but I can't prove it, so I'm having to get it fixed myself.

** And, by the way, I was supposed to pick my car up from Aamco yesterday, but it's still not running properly. They're hoping by Thanksgiving. This is week 3 of the transmission rebuild. Tell me the dealer didn't really kill my car! **

Here's what you haven't heard.

That day the dealer broke my transmission, one of their service techs ran a red light while test driving my car. About two weeks later, I got a ticket in the mail: one of those automated traffic camera dealys. I called and spoke to the service manager at the dealership, and he basically called me a liar. I made photocopies of the ticket, the service orders for the day my car had been with them (clearly showing that at the time of the violation my car was in their possession), and wrote a letter to the court (everything was supposedly going to be reviewed by a real cop).

Well, today I found a letter in the mail. It basically says that the court can't waive my ticket because they'd need the info about the other driver (yeah, the dealer refused to provide that - not to mention you can TELL it's not me in the picture!). And it says to respond by phone, or attend the court date listed on the original violation notice. Yeah.... that date was 10/31/06. The letter I got was postmarked 11/2/06. A slight problem, no?

What's the likelihood that I have a warrant now?

I'm so angry with Hyundai I just don't even know what to do. I can't think of the words I'd like to say, or the similies for the pain I'd like to inflict. This is beyond reasonable. And I'm mad at whoever F. Hernandez is that reviewed my Affidavit of Non-Liablity; I'm mad at him/her for being stupid and not realizing that there's no way I could have driven that car at that time, and I never drive around with an orange service cone on the roof of my car! How could this person have reviewed all the paperwork I sent and still said that it's not enough proof?!

**Little side note: since I first brought the ticket to the attention of the service manager at Team Hyundai, they've started putting the service cone way back on the roof. Now the likelihood of it getting caught in a traffic violation picture is greatly decreased. Coincidence? I think not.**
