I Do

Actually, she does.

She would be my friend, Heather. And the lucky he to hear those words in a few months is John Vasquez, of the United States Air Force.

They've known each other for about 9 years and met for the first time at Disneyland. "The happiest place on earth." How appropriate.

Heather & John @ 16

John was stationed in Germany for a while and decided not too long ago that he was done with it when he wanted "como?" and out popped "was?" (that's "vas" - meaning what). So he put in for a transfer, was denied Hawaii and landed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Yes, Texas.

He asked Heather to fly out to help him house hunt, but he had something sneaky planned. While house hunting, John proposed. And Heather accepted.

She asked me to help her plan but it seems like we're doing a lot of planning for being in the "pre-planning" stages, as she likes to say. She's thinking of November through February for dates, excluding December (too Christmas-y, and too pricey), and the colors are chocolate brown and hot pink! =D

I'm so excited. I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control. And I think I like it.

Please join me in congratulating my dearest friend. She so deserves this happiness and I wish her all the best.

Introducing the future Mr. & Mrs. Vasquez.

Incidentally, the picture below was sent by John from Germany. Danke, John!
