It begins again

My car has been at Aamco since Saturday morning.

Monday, I called about a billion times to get a status report; I could never get through. Finally, my dad was able to reach them but they had nothing to report. Most likely because they hadn't touched it yet.

Yesterday - Tuesday - I called twice. The second time they said they were getting conflicting codes as to what the problem is, and they'd have to run more diagnostics and possibly go into the transmission. I was told there was no way it would be done by evening, so my car spent another night there.

I just got a call from them. There is a sensor problem. And "the metal inside the transmission" has caused some other potentially catastrophic problem. I don't know what that means. They will start taking the transmission apart to determine which parts exactly need to be replaced.

And the quote: $2543. With a lifetime warranty. A blessing, I suppose.

I cried.

My dad wants to talk to them. They did all this barely 3 years ago, why is it happening again so soon? I'm trying to stay positive, but I tell you, it's hard.

How annoying! Do Santa Fe's have this problem? Anyway, I hope you've got it all figured out and that when you pick it up, you promptly go to a dealer to trade it in!
